Urban Farm Supervisor

Oversee day to day operations of an urban mushroom farm at Sprout Hub, 102 Henderson Road that hires persons with special needs.

Job Scope

1. Supervise harvesting, weighing , trimming, packing and labelling alongside volunteers.

2. Routine maintenence of mushroom growing container and mushroom substrates.

3. Monitoring and controlling conditions for optimum growth and quality - temperature, humidity , lighting , CO2 .

4. Planning and purchases of new substrates, packaging materials, labels and others consumables.

5. Coordinate with sales ( retail /food service ) on daily packing targets and to meet customer orders.

6. Coordinate deliveries with transport providers.

7. Conduct trials on new species or new value added by products.

8. Assist in promotion and events - e.g. Farmers Market /Corporate Events.
