Role Overview
We are seeking a Linux Systems & Python Engineer to join our night-shift engineering operations in Makati City. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and systems engineering—writing high-performance Python backend services, automating complex operational pipelines, and maintaining core Linux-based infrastructure.
This is an ideal role for an experienced engineer who thrives in direct, hands-on technical environments, enjoys solving complex infrastructure puzzles, and prefers the focused environment of a night-shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development: Design, write, and test clean, scalable, and high-performance Python code for core backend services and automation modules.
Linux Infrastructure Engineering: Administer, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot critical services running across our enterprise Linux ecosystem.
Automation & Operations: Develop robust Python and Bash scripts to streamline automated deployment pipelines, system health checks, and routine maintenance tasks.
API & Database Engineering: Build resilient RESTful APIs and optimize relational database queries for maximum throughput and low latency.
Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose complex system bottlenecks, resolve infrastructure performance issues, and implement permanent structural fixes.
Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, API schemas, and deployment processes.
Key Qualifications
Core Requirements
Python Engineering: 3+ years of professional backend software development experience using Python.
Linux Systems Mastery: Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, shell utilities, process management, and system troubleshooting.
Databases & SQL: Solid grasp of relational databases, schema design, and writing optimized SQL queries.
Version Control: Proficiency with Git workflows for collaborative code management and reviews.
Shift & Work Setup: Fully comfortable working 100% Onsite (Monday to Friday) on a Night Shift schedule in Makati City.
