Urgent: Operations Manager (Bunkering & Maritime Services)
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bunkering operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, fuel transfer, and ship-to-ship (STS) operations.
- Coordinate bunker vessel activities, loading schedules, and operational requirements with terminals, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor fuel quality, quantity, documentation, and reporting to ensure accurate and compliant bunker operations.
- Review commercial agreements, operational requirements, and loading instructions to support effective service delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and cost effectiveness.
- Manage and develop the operations team, including cargo officers and operational staff, through training, coaching, and performance management.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, budgets, and workflows to improve productivity and business performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the maritime, marine services, or bunkering industry.
- Strong knowledge of bunker operations, vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and marine industry practices.
- Proven experience leading and managing operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise with terminals, suppliers, and vessel teams.
- Ability to manage multiple operational activities while maintaining safety, compliance, and service quality.
- Experience in cargo blending operations will be advantageous.
