URGENT - Senior Accounts Executive (8 months contract / Immediate)

Senior Accounts Executive manages month-end closing, cash flow, GST filings, and audit coordination for a maritime finance team.
About the role
We are partnering with a reputable organization within the maritime industry to support its finance team. This role offers exposure to accounting operations, month-end closing, compliance activities and cash management, while working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end closing activities, including preparation of accounting schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, employee claims and payment transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor cash positions to support operational requirements.
- Support statutory, tax and audit requirements, including GST filings, tax schedules and external audit requests.
- Partner internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with exposure to month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in GST, audit coordination and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meticulous, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
