Role summary:The (USA) Associate Merchant supports category management through supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and item setup for both stores and online channels. This role collaborates cross-functionally to enhance customer experience by ensuring accurate product content and executing promotional activities. Utilizing data analysis and market insights, the Associate Merchant contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and assortment planning. The position requires effective communication and project management skills to drive business results while maintaining compliance with company policies and fostering strong vendor relationships. This role is integral to delivering value and supporting Walmart’s strategic objectives.

What you'll do:
- Support supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders for assigned categories.
- Assist merchants with supplier issue resolution and new supplier setup for stores and online.
- Execute customer communication and education programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain product page content accuracy and manage search query rules for assigned categories.
- Track category financial performance, support forecasting, and contribute to budgeting processes.
- Develop and implement feature proposals and modular assortment strategies across channels.
- Leverage data analysis tools to generate insights and support decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal partners.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in vendor and supplier relationship management, including negotiation and purchase order administration.
- Strong skills in category strategy development and execution, with the ability to analyze sales and market trends.
- Proficiency in data analysis and business analysis to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with merchants, planners, and modular teams.
- Knowledge of e-commerce management and product assortment to optimize omni-channel customer experience.
- Ability to manage projects and implement business solutions aligned with organizational goals.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
