Role summary:The Senior Manager, Construction-DS, leads the execution and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within scope, and budget. This role directs contractors and design partners to maintain compliance with Walmart’s standards and applicable regulations. The position requires proactive risk management, cross-functional collaboration, and oversight of project governance from pre-construction through closeout. The Senior Manager drives process improvements, enforces quality control, and provides leadership to project teams, supporting operational priorities while maintaining rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and financial management throughout the construction lifecycle.
About the team:
The Industrial Design & Construction Remodels team drives innovative upgrades and remodel projects that enhance Walmart’s supply chain facilities. This collaborative group partners with internal units, consultants, and leadership to manage complex initiatives, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Team members apply strategic planning, problem-solving, and project management skills to deliver operational excellence. Focused on creative solutions and adaptability, the team supports the modernization and long-term success of Walmart’s industrial facilities by maintaining high standards in construction management, quality control, and risk mitigation within a dynamic environment.
What you'll do:
- Lead construction project execution to ensure timely, on-budget delivery aligned with approved plans and specifications.
- Direct contractors, architects, and engineers to maintain compliance with Walmart and regulatory standards throughout project lifecycle.
- Manage pre- and post-construction activities including bid strategy, pricing negotiations, scheduling, and project closeout.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues to minimize delays and cost impacts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Store Development, Facilities, Procurement, and Operations to align construction with business priorities.
- Prepare and present project status, risk assessments, and budget reports to leadership.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and constructability across projects.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
