Role summary:The Senior Manager, Construction-DS, leads the execution and delivery of construction projects, ensuring completion on schedule, within scope, and budget. This role directs contractors and partners to maintain compliance with design standards, codes, and safety requirements while managing risks and resolving issues. The position fosters cross-functional collaboration to align construction efforts with operational priorities and drives continuous process improvements. It also oversees project governance, vendor performance, and documentation, promoting accountability and excellence throughout the project lifecycle to support Walmart’s strategic objectives and operational success.

The team leads the execution of construction on remodel projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. They collaborate closely with contractors, architects, and cross-functional partners to maintain high standards in quality, compliance, and safety. Focused on effective project governance, the team proactively manages risks and resolves challenges to drive progress. They oversee all phases from pre-construction planning to project closeout, emphasizing clear communication, strong leadership, and continuous process improvement to support Walmart’s operational goals and construction excellence.
What you'll do:
- Lead construction project execution to ensure completion on schedule, within scope, and budget while managing contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee construction compliance by conducting routine reviews and addressing deviations promptly.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including negotiation of bids, change orders, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Store Development, Facilities, Procurement, and Operations to align construction activities with business priorities.
- Prepare and present project status, budget tracking, and risk mitigation reports to leadership.
- Drive process improvements and document best practices to enhance project delivery consistency.

BOSTON, Massachusetts US-09552: The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $186,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
