User Experience & Interface (UX/UI) Designer III
Summary
LandSure Systems is hiring a UX/UI Designer III in Vancouver to lead UX design across complex product areas: shaping design priorities, mentoring other designers, driving design system adoption, and using research, data, and UX metrics. Core tools include Figma, design systems, and front-end component frameworks like Angular Material.
What you'll do:
Reporting to the Manager, User Experience, the User Experience & Interface (UX/UI) Designer III leads UX design across broader product areas, initiatives, and complex workflows. This role shapes UX priorities, influences product direction, mentors designers, advances design quality and system consistency, and uses research, data, and UX metrics to inform user-centered solutions and stakeholder decision-making.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Lead UX across broader product areas, initiatives, or domains; shape priorities and scope UX work within delivery cycles.
Advocate for early design involvement to influence product direction and outcomes.
Mentor designers through coaching, feedback, critiques, reviews, and development support.
Establish and reinforce design quality standards across the team.
Influence design system direction and drive consistent adoption of design standards within product work.
Oversee user experience design across complex workflows, capabilities, and product platforms.
Ensure alignment, coherence, and quality across user experiences and support design integrity through implementation.
Establish and track UX success metrics, using research insights, data, and feedback to inform product decisions and prioritization.
Communicate design direction, rationale, outcomes, user needs, insights, and experience strategy to stakeholders.
Lead discovery, evaluative research, and measurement for complex or strategically important studies.
Guide research framing, rigor, and quality; partner with specialized UXR support where available.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 to 8 years of experience in UX/UI or product design roles, with demonstrated leadership across complex features, workflows, or product areas.
Proven experience leading design within cross-functional Agile teams and influencing product direction.
Experience contributing to and influencing design system evolution in collaboration with a dedicated design system team.
Demonstrated experience mentoring designers and raising team-wide design quality.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Expert proficiency in Figma and design systems; skilled in evolving scalable UI frameworks and documentation.
Deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, accessibility (WCAG), and user-centered design methodologies.
Strong understanding of front-end development concepts and component-based systems (e.g., Angular Material or similar frameworks).
Advanced ability to plan and lead discovery, usability testing, and research synthesis for complex or ambiguous problem spaces.
Data-informed mindset with experience using analytics, session replays, and UX metrics to guide decision-making.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience with design system governance, multi-product design leadership, and tooling ecosystems (e.g., Storybook, Jira, Confluence, Dev Mode, CMS).
Strong organizational and prioritization skills to independently manage complex work across teams or initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to drive consistency, scalability, and quality through reusable design solutions and system thinking.
