Utilities Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Utilities Engineer to support manufacturing operations within a leading biopharmaceutical facility. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing processes for assigned utility systems, and effective management of routine engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the system owner for assigned utility systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
  • Manage day-to-day utility system performance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support routine operations, maintenance coordination, and lifecycle management of utility assets.
  • Ensure utility systems operate in compliance with GMP, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Lead or participate in change controls, deviation investigations, CAPAs, risk assessments, and system improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on utility-related projects and operational activities.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and drive reliability and efficiency improvements.
  • Support project execution and implementation activities where required.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience as a system owner/process owner for utilties equipment is preferred.
  • Strong vendor management, process and manufacturing, and equipment lifecycle management experience.
  • Good organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
