Utilities Operator-Associate
Under direct supervision, responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility equipment in facility buildings to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 7:45am-4:15pm
- Operates, maintains and repairs utility system equipment in the facilities.
- Maintains equipment history files and communicates building system status to appropriate personnel.
- Maintains heating and air conditioning equipment to include cleaning coils, replacing filters, trouble shooting control circuits and repairing pumps.
- Performs water testing, analysis, and documentation on utility systems.
- Responds to service calls, equipment alarms, fire alarm system alarms, elevator malfunctions, and any other calls for assistance.
- Performs minor plumbing and electrical maintenance on air conditioning equipment, building utility systems, and equipment related to the facilities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of operating various machinery and tools (e.g.
- HVAC, steam and chilled water, air and vacuum systems, etc.) and ability to read blueprints or diagrams.
- Ability to exercise skilled independent judgment and problem solving in handling unexpected or emergency situations.
- Detailed oriented with the ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
LICENSE:
- Valid Texas driver's license is required - must have a clear driving record.
