Utility Engineer
Summary
Coordinates utility diversions and protections for roadwork projects, liaising with agencies and contractors while ensuring compliance with LTA standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage utility diversion and protection works for roadwork projects
- Liaise with LTA, utility agencies, consultants, and subcontractors on service coordination
- Implement appropriate measures for service/utilities protection
- Adopt safe work procedures for carrying out any works to prevent damage to services/utilities, in particular, excavation works.
- Review utility drawings, service plans, and method statements
- Coordinate with the project team on utility clearance and sequencing of works
- Prepare submissions, reports, andas-built records
- Resolve site utility conflicts and technical issues
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Prefer to have hands-on experience in LTA projects and utility coordination/diversion works
- Familiar with LTA specifications, procedures, and submission processes
- Able to read and coordinate utility and services drawings
Preferred:
Experience working with multiple utility agencies
Able to start on short notice
