UTILITY ENGINEER
Summary
Oversee utility and road construction projects, coordinating permits, safety compliance, and stakeholder communications while ensuring quality and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all relevant permits and clearances already obtained from respective agencies prior any excavation works to commence
- Ensure all resources provided (manpower/equipment) comply with stakeholder’s requirement
- Coordination between Stakeholder, Client and sub-contractor
- Facilitate permit-to-dig application from Client / Stakeholders
- Attend the meeting with the stakeholder/client
- Generate and handle company reports, meetings and documents required
- Propose alternative work method or other way to increase productivity
- Ensure the activities comply with the quality, environment, health & safety requirements
Job Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent
- Have relevant road construction experience in coordination and liaison works with relevant authorities / agencies on services / utilities and diversion works
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Qualified as a Licensed Cable Detector Worker (LCDW), Licensed Telecommunication Cable Detection Worker (TCDW) is an added advantage
- Registered Earthwork Supervisor (RES) with EMA/SPPG an additional benefit
- Can advise the work team to implement appropriate measures on services / utilities protection and adopt safe work procedure to prevent damage to utilities
- Have basic understanding of Permit-to-Dig process and application
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Auto CAD
- Can perform task under pressure and multi-task
- Hardworking and willing to learn
- Good interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in LTA projects (NSC)
- BCSS/Confined space
