Maintains and services draught beer systems and retail displays in assigned accounts, ensuring stock rotation and compliance with liquor regulations.
Position Title: Utility Serviceman
Department: Draught Service / Merchandising
Position reports to: Sales Manager
Primary purpose and function of position: The Class A Merchandiser / Draught Technician is responsible for merchandising products in large-format retail accounts, maintaining draught beer systems, supporting special events, and providing operational Delivery support as needed.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper stock rotation in assigned retail accounts and notify the appropriate sales personnel of inventory shortages, freshness concerns, or other issues.
- Stock and replenish cooler and warm shelf displays.
- Build, maintain, and replenish promotional displays.
- Repack damaged product as needed.
- Assist in setting and resetting customer shelves and displays.
- Obtain customer product orders when required.
- Deliver and place point-of-sale advertising materials.
- Report delivery issues promptly to the direct supervisor.
- Complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports accurately and on time.
- Clean and service assigned draught accounts according to brewery specifications.
- Ensure proper product rotation within draught systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair draught beer equipment at assigned accounts.
- Transport, load, unload, set up, and tear down draught trailers for special events.
- Install, maintain, and repair permanent point-of-sale materials as directed.
- Perform duties as a route driver, warehouse employee, or transport hauler when operational needs require.
- Cover operational vacancies caused by unplanned absences, based on seniority. Compensation will be paid at the prevailing wage classification for the work performed on that day.
- Comply with all requirements of the Wholesaler Equity Agreement, company policies, supplier standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local alcohol regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
