Our challenge

We are seeking an UX Designer to create intuitive, accessible, and effective digital experiences for internal and external users. The successful candidate will work with product, business, and technology teams to understand user needs and translate them into high-quality design solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k – CAD $120k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research, interviews, journey mapping, and usability analysis.
  • Define user personas, workflows, information architecture, and experience strategies.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Facilitate design workshops and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, and researchers.
  • Conduct usability testing and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
  • Ensure experiences are consistent with design systems and accessibility standards.
  • Support developers during implementation and validate the final product.
  • Maintain design documentation and communicate design decisions.
  • Advocate for user-centered design across project teams.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in UX, product design, interaction design, or a related discipline.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered digital product design.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Knowledge of interaction design, usability, information architecture, and accessibility.
  • Experience working in Agile product-development environments.
  • Strong visual, analytical, communication, and facilitation skills.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience designing enterprise, financial-services, or data-intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with responsive design and design systems.
  • Experience conducting quantitative or qualitative user research.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines.
