UX Frontend Systems Software Engineer

European Tech Recruit are working closely with a leading semiconductor company, based in Cork, who are looking for a talented UX Frontend Systems Software Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will work on the development of software tools and user interfaces that support sensor technology research, development, and validation of workflows. The role involves designing intuitive and robust software interfaces, managing application state, and integrating frontend components with backend data processing services.

Responsibilities as UX Frontend Systems Software Engineer:

• Coding in MATLAB and Python, with familiarity with modern C and C++ standards, and unit testing and system testing using modern frameworks like Google Test
• Architecting and implementing software frameworks and tools following established software design patterns including Model-View-Controller, event-driven programming, and component-based architectures on a variety of platforms
• Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming in any of the following languages: C++ / MATLAB / Python / Java
• Designing and implementing data visualization interfaces and dashboards supporting engineering analysis and decision making
• Integrating frontend components with backend data processing services, managing inter-language interfaces and data exchange between tool layers
• Balancing engineering tradeoffs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexity
• Using your familiarity with SOC architecture, assist in the design of SOC hardware models and related tools
• New technology demonstrations, interfacing with customers and sensor vendors, and partnering with internal and external teams
