Company
When it comes to innovation and achievement there are few organisations with a better track record. Join us and you’ll be able to play a big part in the success of our highly successful, fast-paced business that opens up Europe so that people can exercise their get-up-and-go. With almost 300 aircraft flying over 1,000 routes to more than 32 countries, we’re the UK’s largest airline, the fourth largest in Europe and the tenth largest in the world. Set to fly more than 90 million passengers this year, we employ over 10,000 people. Its big-scale stuff and we’re still growing.
Over the last 30 years, easyJet has disrupted the travel industry, changing the way people fly across the UK and Europe. Today, with a fleet of over 300 aircraft and 85 million annual passengers, we are still innovating. What sets us apart is our "Orange Spirit"—our passion, forward-thinking mindset, and sense of fun.
Now, we are looking for a skilled, high-stakes UX & Service Designer to join our Airline Operations Technology mission and transform the crew experience.
The Mission\: Connected Crew & Optimised Flying
In this role, you will directly shape how our pilots and cabin crew receive, understand, and act on real-time data and flight efficiency insights. Operating in a high-workload, high-stakes environment, you will bridge the gap between complex software systems and human behavior.
You will work across a hybrid ecosystem of configurable SaaS platforms and custom-built products. Your challenge will be to determine the optimal design approach\: maximizing SaaS limits, designing bespoke elements where platforms fall short, or collaborating with Product Managers to push for vendor roadmap changes
What You’ll Do\:
• Own the End-to-End Crew Experience\: Streamline how pilots and cabin crew make critical decisions on connected devices without increasing their workload.
• Lead Journey Mapping & IA\: Map current and target workflows across the crew value chain to design out friction, fragmentation, and workarounds.
• Drive Product Configuration\: Translate intricate workflows into practical SaaS settings (views, defaults, and terminology), keeping your design reasoning explicit and reviewable.
• Conduct Expert User Research\: Run contextual interviews, live observations, and usability testing with expert operational users before deployment.
• Link Design to Impact\: Partner with Product Managers to tie your design decisions directly to mission OKRs, including turn-time, on-time performance (OTP), and fuel efficiency.
• Collaborate Globally\: Partner with a cross-functional network of architects, data specialists, delivery leads, change teams, and vendors.
