Role Summary

This specialist is responsible for planning, developing and implementing the overall company’s website brand content and user experience strategy. It includes the management of the creation and production of online marketing content, reviewing the functionality of the website, evaluating and managing website performance, directing vendors on website developments and enhancements and, maintaining and updating website content. This role is critical in rolling out Global strategy to EMEA while ensuring the requirements of EMEA are not compromised. The role also requires supporting Local European ODG Marketing teams with prioritization and execution of regional marketing strategy for a 24/7 always on platform. The UX & Development Specialist is the day-to-day end-responsible for the main Hill’s websites (Hills pet/Hills vet) and tasks include gathering business requirements & making fact-based prioritizations, defining improvements, and coordinating development with the Global team .

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building Hill’s websites using consumer-centric content to enhance visitor engagement and to optimize conversion

    • Working on on-site search and personalization efforts, by providing insightful business, site and user experience analysis that yield tangible results for the company

    • Representing EMEA - ensuring the region’s needs get voiced at the global level for all things related to websites- collaborating with global marketing, global agency partners & global IT as necessary

    • Working to support and rollout global website strategy and tools

    • Optimizing conversion via tracking, AB testing and other tools

    • Working with Global teams on the development and localisation of keyword targeted and market trend content to elevate organic growth

    • Supporting technical integration of other tools

    • Support local country teams in implementation and management of third party tools

  • Supporting Regional marketing for IMC pages

    • Manage regional localisation of IMC and other website pages/experiences

    • Ensuring performance driving content

  • Tracking performance of webpages to optimize engagement and improving conversion funnels

    • Measuring, designing and identifying KPIs for the website

    • Working with Global team to implement tagging and tracking structures, and communicating results for both key initiatives and tactical activities - leading key global workstreams

    • Supporting local countries track digital performance leveraging self service dashboards

  • Providing technical support, liaise with IT - ensuring best in class UX

    • Support SEO with technical expertise

    • Working closely with the Global team on overall website strategy to improve tagging and performance

    • Implement technical learnings and audits to better improve user experience

    • Platform optimisation

    • Run research and UX audit to capture current site performance

    • Review services provided by other vendors who may provide better performance

    • Constantly challenge status quo - leading cross functional work streams to improve the UX

  • Tracking performance of webpages to optimize engagement and improving conversion funnels

    • Measuring, designing and identifying KPIs for the website

    • Working with Global team to implement tagging and tracking structures, and communicating results for both key initiatives and tactical activities - leading key global workstreams

    • Supporting local countries track digital performance leveraging self service dashboard

Leading specific integrated tools in the platforms and defining improvements to increase the use & success of these tools

  • Supporting creation of new website & platform features based on customer & consumer needs working with vendors, global teams & IT

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce or digital product management sitting at the intersection of business and IT (e.g., as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or UX Specialist).

  • Demonstrated experience with web analytics and reporting platforms, including Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush.

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis software, including Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex data sets).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong project management capabilities with a proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder initiatives under tight deadlines.

  • Strategic commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex data models into actionable business insights.

  • Experience working within an agile, matrixed global organization or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.

  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
