V.I.E Devops engineer (M/F)
Summary
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for aerospace software using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible to ensure secure, compliant deployments.
As a DevOps Engineer in Aerospace & Space, you will play a critical role in bridging development and operations to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and maintenance of software systems for aerospace applications. Your responsibilities will include:
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
Designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for aerospace software projects.
Automating build, test, and deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable delivery.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
Ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with aerospace industry standards.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
Working closely with software developers, system engineers, and IT teams to align DevOps practices with project goals.
Supporting agile methodologies to enhance productivity and innovation.
Monitoring and Optimization:
Implementing monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to track system performance and reliability.
Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and deployment issues in real time.
Security and Compliance:
Ensuring secure coding practices and compliance with aerospace cybersecurity standards.
Conducting vulnerability assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or space industries is a strong plus.
- Understanding of IT security standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)
