Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide daily legal and administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
- Assist with preparing, organizing, and filing legal documents
- Monitor deadlines and help ensure assigned tasks are completed on time
- Support attorneys and paralegals with case preparation and general litigation responsibilities
- Perform other legal and administrative duties as needed
- Assist with discovery preparation, document organization, and case management
- Take initiative to identify additional tasks and areas in which the legal team may require support
- Follow up with courts, clients, attorneys, and other parties to help matters move forward
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
- Make and receive professional phone calls concerning cases, courts, attorneys, and clients
- Draft and proofread correspondence, emails, and other legal documents
- Assist with court filings and maintain accurate filing records
- Assist with scheduling, calendaring, deadlines, hearings, meetings, and other case-related activities
- Prepare and organize pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery materials, and other case-related documents
- Coordinate with courts, attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties
Requirements:
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary in a law firm environment preferred
• Experience supporting attorneys with legal and administrative responsibilities
• Strong understanding of legal office procedures and case management
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectively
• Strong computer and document management skills
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and procedures
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Previous litigation experience, particularly in Florida, is preferred
• Experience with contracts, corporate matters, business litigation, or commercial litigation is a plus
