Vac Truck Driver/Equip Operator - 6

Vac Truck Driver & Operator Responsibilities:

• This position is both a driving and physically demanding position: This role combines commercial driving with specialized equipment operation and requires a strong focus on safety and environmental compliance
• Duties include driving and operating the vacuum truck throughout the workday safely and efficiently: Requires driving from the shop to job sites daily, flushing and cleaning storm and sanitary sewer lines, primarily on new, unused pipelines not in service yet
• Perform hydro excavation, pipeline cleaning, catch basin cleaning and manhole cleaning: Cleaning may occasionally be performed on an active sewer service or main for warranty or emergency work
• Daily duties include lifting manhole covers and storm grates to access structures for cleaning
• Hydro excavation (potholing) is done occasionally as well
• Conduct pre-trip and post trip vehicle and equipment inspections
• Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspection reports
• Follow OSHA, DOT and company safety policies
• Perform routine PM maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs on truck and equipment
• Wear and maintain required PPE
• Transport collected material to the dump location and dispose
• Properly care for all tools and equipment
