Vaccines Field Sales Operations Lead
Role Summary
The Vaccines Field Sales Operations Lead partners across a broad set of stakeholders to strengthen organizational productivity, impact, and business results. The role advances field sales effectiveness by improving operational infrastructure, optimizing the account team model, and enabling the platforms, resources, and processes colleagues need to succeed. This leader will also establish a continuous improvement discipline, supported by clearly defined key performance indicators, to enhance commercial capabilities and better support customer-facing teams.
Role Responsibilities
This role will lead the design, implementation, and adoption of rigorous processes, tools, and operating practices that drive consistency across teams. Reporting to the VP of Vaccines Sales and serving as a member of the Sales and Accounts Leadership Team, the selected candidate will help advance established business priorities and inform decisions across the U.S. business. The role will identify and maximize opportunities at the portfolio, brand, and regional levels, while leading a team of three Business Operations Senior Managers and one Director, Field Sales Operations/Enablement Secondment.
Lead operational and commercial excellence initiatives across the U.S. Vaccines Field Organization.
Support the VP of Vaccines Sales in identifying, prioritizing, and advancing critical short- and long-term operational and commercial excellence priorities.
Coordinate communications and key leadership activities, including performance reviews, Senior Leadership Business Reviews, Operating Plan presentations, and leadership engagement efforts.
Provide strategic insight and coordination to support customer-facing teams, accelerate decision-making, and strengthen opportunity prioritization across the organization.
Coordinate information flow and translate field learnings into improved collaboration and stronger execution of local in-field strategic opportunities.
Identify and lead strategic and analytical projects for the Leadership Team, including Portfolio Optimization and Competitive Readiness activities.
Drive integration and alignment across customer-facing and internal commercial efforts to deliver a durable portfolio of value propositions for U.S. Vaccines.
Manage and monitor strategic initiatives to ensure appropriate prioritization, resourcing, and support at national and regional levels.
Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for the North American Vaccines Commercial Effectiveness Lead, CEP Operations Lead and the US Vaccines Strategy & Operational Enablement Lead
Collaborate routinely with cross-functional partners, including Marketing, Finance, CMO, and other enabling teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience or a commensurate mix of business, consulting, and leadership roles that include Marketing, Innovation, Sales, and Strategy, with demonstrated problem-solving and project and program management skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with others and drive results through others.
Ability to work with and influence senior management and work collaboratively in a multinational, cross-functional environment toward shared goals.
· Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on customer and senior management interactions
Ability to synthesize complex data into strategic, customer-facing collateral and conversations.
· Ability to work with multi-level staff and integrate resources in a timely and organized manner
Proven skills in the planning, management, and delivery of multiple, diverse, and high-priority projects.
Vaccines experience strongly preferred.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes, and create business impact.
