Valet Attendant

Essential Job Functions:

· Maintains post at entranceway door to the Golf Clubhouse or other assigned area.

· Greets members and guests in a warm and cordial manner and directs them appropriately to events and other locations.

· Opens car and building door for all arriving and departing members and guests.

· Park and retrieve automobiles for members and guests safely and responsibly in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.

· Responds politely in a helpful manner to member questions or inquiries and addresses them by name whenever possible.

· Remains up-to-date on Club events and activities.

· Screens visitors, directs service and delivery vendors to alternative building entrances. Notifies security personnel in event of security breach, escalating situations or medical emergencies.

· Notifies management of any problems.

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

· May perform other assignments and duties, as area needs require.

· Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Ability to open vehicle and building doors with ease, and to provide walking assistance to other persons.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated tact, courtesy and diplomacy. Ability to make other persons feel welcome and secure.
• Excellent driving skills (manual transmission experience required).
• Ability to speak and read English so as to clearly communicate with visitors and to understand Club calendars and agendas.
• Ability to redirect visitors in polite manner, and to control potential security breaches, until security personnel arrive.
• Ability to memorize names, to distinguish persons, and to associate names with persons.
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to first aid and other emergency situations.

Licensure/Certification:

• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. Company drivers who are Florida residents must obtain a valid Florida license within 30 days of establishing residency to drive on Florida roads.
