Value Add Technician
Summary
Assembles, tests, and packages mechanical and structural components in a warehouse, ensuring quality and inventory accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Technical Skills
- Ability to assemble and test structural, mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical components.
- Understanding of measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot minor assembly or fit issues.
- Familiarity with quality checks and testing procedures.
Operational Expectations
- Accurately log time and production activity to job orders.
- Issue and track materials to jobs with attention to inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S mindset).
- Support general warehouse activities including material handling, staging, and organization.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience with some assembly experience preferred
- Ability to use basic tools for assembly, measurement, etc.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software is preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop. This position requires the use of hands and fingers to pick and package parts, type, handle controls as well as the ability to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to hear and to speak. The employee may frequently lift items 20 pounds or more, occasionally lift items 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
