Van Driver

  • Drive a van/bus over an assigned route in accordance with time schedule.
  • Transports clients/consumers to designated programs.
  • Adheres to Division Policy and Procedures and maintains discipline on the van/bus.
  • Performs a daily van/bus inspection, completes daily vehicle condition report, prepares daily reports of mileage, records cash receipts, time and client/consumer loads.
  • Maintains van/bus cleanliness, interior and exterior, and fluids levels on a daily basis.
  • Makes pre-trip inspection of vehicle in compliance with state regulations.
  • Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
  • Complies with local traffic regulations.
  • Reports delays or accidents. Carries out proscribed seating arrangements, if applicable.
  • Perform other duties as may from time to time be deemed appropriate by the PCS- Supervisor and as required for provision of program services.
  • Maintains established division policies & procedures, objective, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Guards the confidentiality of client information from both outside persons and Archway Programs employees whom do not require this information to perform their job functions.
  • Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience, and helpfulness. All responses should be timely, professional, caring, and respectful in accordance with Archway Programs standards
  • Provide culturally sensitive services that are based on knowledge of cultural diversity to accomplish quality client care.
