Van Driver

We are looking for an experienced Driver to support our catering operations. The successful candidate must have prior experience handling catering deliveries, buffet setup and dismantling, and on-site catering logistics.

The role involves transporting food, buffet equipment and catering supplies safely and efficiently to customer locations, as well as assisting with the setup and teardown of buffet stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to deliver food, catering equipment, buffet setups and supplies to customer locations.
• Carry out on-site buffet setup and dismantling, including tables, warmers, food trays, beverage stations and related equipment.
• Load and unload catering equipment, food containers and supplies safely and systematically.
• Ensure food and equipment are transported securely and arrive at the required location and time.
• Assist catering crew with preparation, setup, replenishment and clearing of buffet stations when required.
• Check catering equipment and supplies against delivery/setup requirements before leaving the restaurant.
• Coordinate with customers, event coordinators and catering staff at delivery locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the company vehicle and catering equipment.
• Handle multiple deliveries and catering assignments according to daily schedules.
• Follow food-handling, workplace safety and company procedures.
• Work weekends, public holidays, early mornings or evenings when catering events require.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in catering delivery, catering logistics or buffet operations.
• Valid Singapore driving licence appropriate for the company vehicle.
• Proven experience delivering and physically setting up buffet/catering stations at customer or event locations.
• Experience handling catering equipment such as chafing dishes, food warmers, buffet tables, beverage dispensers, serving equipment and insulated food containers.
• Comfortable with frequent lifting, loading and unloading of catering equipment and food supplies.
• Experience working at corporate events, private functions, weddings, schools, institutions or large-scale catering events will be an advantage.
• Able to independently plan loading, transportation, delivery and setup according to event requirements.
• Able to work under time pressure and meet strict delivery and event setup deadlines.
• Good communication skills and professional customer-service attitude.
• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work, stairs and manual handling.
• Willing to work irregular hours, weekends and public holidays depending on catering schedules.
• Candidates with both driving and hands-on buffet setup experience will be strongly preferred.
