Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Must be available Monday - Friday 6:30am - 4:00pm
- Must pass drug test and DOT physical.
Pine Island Schools is looking for a van driver. This job is Monday - Friday. Hours available are approximately 6:30am - 8:30am, 10:30am - 12:30pm, 2:30pm - 4:30pm with other hours possible. Pay is $19.86 per hour. Benefits include PTO and paid holidays.
Job Goal: To provide safe transportation of district students to and from school. He/she is responsible for the general care and daily inspection of the van assigned to him/her. He/she shall be knowledgeable of all laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to the safe transportation of students and of all district policy.
Responsibilities:
- Transport students in a safe manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections on his/her van
- Complete daily mileage log
- Keep van clean on inside and outside
- Complies with all traffic ordinances
- Discipline to be handled by driver, but if needed, fill out discipline reports and forward to appropriate administrator
- Report accidents and violations to Transportation Director
- Employee is responsible to be knowledgeable of all District policies
