Join WNCSource as a Van Driver! If you’re ready to make a difference by helping older adults, people with disabilities, and residents across Henderson County to safely get where they need to go, you should drive for our Community Transportation program!

If you are a dependable, caring driver who enjoys meeting new people and serving the community, this is the perfect opportunity! You will provide safe, reliable, and friendly transportation for our neighbors in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What You Will Do (And Love!)

• Provide Safe Transportation: Safely operate agency vehicles to transport participants to and from congregate meal sites, grocery stores, medical appointments, and other essential destinations.

• Be the Welcoming Face: Create a warm, friendly, and reassuring atmosphere for passengers every day.

• Prioritize Safety: Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain accurate route logs, and assist passengers with safe boarding and disembarking.

• Collaborate as a Team: Work alongside dispatch staff and fellow drivers to ensure smooth, punctual routes.

Education & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Driver's License: Active North Carolina Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.

• Mindset: A patient, warm, and safety-focused mindset when working with people of all backgrounds.
