About the Role We are seeking an experienced VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise private cloud platforms. This role will be instrumental in helping organisations modernise their infrastructure, simplify operations, and maximise the value of their virtualisation, cloud, and automation investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end VMware Cloud Foundation solutions across compute, storage, networking, security, and operations management domains.
- Lead cloud transformation initiatives, including platform consolidation, infrastructure modernisation, and private cloud adoption.
- Develop strategic roadmaps for enterprise virtualisation and cloud platforms.
- Design and implement automated infrastructure solutions leveraging Infrastructure as Code and orchestration frameworks.
- Provide architectural governance, technical leadership, and best-practice guidance throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with vendor and partner ecosystems to ensure alignment with product capabilities, licensing strategies, and future platform direction.
- Support executive-level discussions regarding technology strategy, cloud operating models, and investment planning.
- Conduct technical assessments, platform health reviews, and architecture workshops.
- Mentor engineering and operations teams on cloud platform technologies and operational excellence.
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud architecture.
- Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and associated technologies including:
- vSphere
- vCenter
- NSX
- vSAN
- Aria Suite
- VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), VMware Cloud Foundation certifications, or equivalent.
- Experience working with enterprise software vendors and strategic technology alliances.
- Familiarity with container platforms including Kubernetes and Tanzu.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs and managed service environments.
- Strategic thinking combined with deep technical expertise.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A consultative approach to solving complex business and technology challenges.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive architecture decisions.
- Passion for innovation, automation, and modern cloud operating models.
