The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) is currently conducting a recruitment search for a Patient Services Manager (Registered Dietitian) to serve as Assistant Canteen Chief in Danville, IL. This role oversees all aspects of canteen operations, including retail, food service, vending, sales, merchandising, and accountability. Join our team and receive a $7,500 Recruitment Bonus!
Leadership & Staff Oversight: Plan, direct, and evaluate daily operations and staff performance to ensure high-quality food service delivery. Operations Management & Compliance: Develop and implement food service policies and procedures; ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and organizational guidelines. Cross - Functional Collaboration: Partner with clinical nutrition staff, nursing, and other departments to align food service operations with patient care plans and improve the dining experience. Technology & Systems Management: Manage and utilize food service and clinical software systems, including maintaining menus, recipes, and nutrition data, and supporting system training and downtime procedures. Training & Staff Development: Develop training materials, coordinate staff education, and ensure team members are proficient in food service operations and technology systems. Food Service Program Management: As the Patient Service Manager, oversee menu planning, food production, service operations, and patient dining services to ensure compliance with nutritional standards, budget requirements, and patient satisfaction goals. Supervise and coordinate patient meal delivery, addressing patient needs and feedback to enhance the overall dining experience.
