Responsibilities
- Transport vehicles safely and efficiently to and from dealerships, customers, vendors, service facilities, and other designated locations
- Operate company-owned trucks and single-vehicle auto transport trailers
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of transport vehicles, trailers, tie-down equipment, and related equipment
- Inspect and document vehicle condition before and after transport
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicle transports, including pickup and delivery information
- Maintain transport equipment in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition
- Immediately report vehicle damage, equipment concerns, accidents, or other transportation-related issues
- Coordinate with dealership personnel regarding vehicle pickup and delivery schedules
- Maintain all company and applicable transportation safety standards
- Represent the dealership professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and other dealerships
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Experience operating a truck and trailer
- Experience loading, securing, and transporting vehicles preferred
- Ability to safely maneuver and back a vehicle with a trailer
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Professional and positive attitude
- Ability to safely enter and exit vehicles and perform vehicle loading and securement duties
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to accommodate occasional schedule changes based on transportation needs
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and driving-record review
