Vendor Licence Analyst

Summary

Analyse vendor licensing usage and costs, build Power BI/Excel dashboards, and report on commercial performance using SQL and Python for a cybersecurity company.

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 2–3 years of commercial experience, ideally
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset
  • Excellent Power BI, Excel, and SQL skills
  • Python experience is advantageous
  • Strong data analysis and reporting experience
  • Technology industry experience is beneficial
  • FinOps or licensing experience is not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive and commercially curious
  • Confident in challenging assumptions and presenting findings
  • AI tooling experience is advantageous
Responsibilities:
  • Analyse vendor licensing consumption
  • Review licensing purchases and customer usage
  • Monitor vendor commitments and renewal exposure
  • Assess licensing efficiency and commercial performance
  • Identify unused capacity and over-purchasing
  • Identify undercharging and overcommitment
  • Produce licensing and commercial reporting
  • Build dashboards using Power BI and Excel
  • Analyse datasets using SQL and Python
  • Report on forecasting and gross profit impact
  • Present findings and challenge assumptions
  • Improve commercial data accuracy and visibility
  • Support the development of Revenue Operations
