Vendor Manager
Description
Position Summary
G10 Inc is seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to fully own the relationships, negotiations, and operational needs of our Mandarin-speaking vendor partners, and to support the Sr. Vendor Manager on additional vendor accounts as needed. Working closely with the Sr. Vendor Manager, this role serves as a critical bridge between G10's US-based operations and Chinese vendors who sell their products online through G10 on Amazon and other U.S. marketplaces. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting Amazon e-commerce operations, a strong understanding of distribution and fulfillment logistics, and the ability to negotiate commercial terms confidently across cultures. This role operates on a second-shift schedule aligned with China business hours to support real-time vendor communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end relationships with Mandarin-speaking vendor partners, serving as their primary point of contact and conducting business communication in both Mandarin and English.
- Own the day-to-day operational needs of assigned vendors across Amazon Vendor Central (1P) and/or Seller Central (3P), including catalog management, item setup, purchase order management, and operational troubleshooting.
- Own negotiation of vendor agreements, commercial terms, pricing, and distribution arrangements for the Mandarin-speaking vendor portfolio.
- Set vendor management strategy and negotiation targets, establishing priorities and performance goals for the vendor book of business.
- Lead vendor business reviews and drive resolution of complex or escalated vendor issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams on inbound inventory planning, fulfillment center operations, and supply chain logistics.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, contracts, and operational updates.
- Support the Sr. Vendor Manager on vendor accounts that need Mandarin-language support or additional capacity, including communication, negotiations, and operational follow-through.
- Support cross-functional projects related to new vendor onboarding and program expansion.
- Work the second-shift schedule (Monday-Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Pacific / 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM Central; Fridays starting 9:00 or 10:00 AM Pacific / 11:00 AM or 12:00 PM Central) to ensure real-time availability for vendor partners in China. Specific hours and days are flexible and can be negotiated, provided that roughly 25-30 hours per week overlap with China business hours; schedules may be adjusted as vendor needs change.
- Any other duties as assigned.
