Our client, a Victorian Government organisation, is seeking an experienced Vendor Manager to join a major enterprise-wide digital transformation program.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing complex IT and professional services contracts, ensuring vendors deliver against contractual obligations while supporting the successful delivery of a high-profile technology project.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic vendor relationships, contract compliance and commercial governance across a portfolio of technology suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex IT and professional services contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Building and maintaining productive relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitoring contract performance, service levels and key deliverables.
• Maintaining contract registers and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Managing contract variations, change requests and commercial negotiations.
• Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
• Supporting governance activities and vendor performance reviews.
• Providing contract advice and guidance to project stakeholders.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in Vendor Management, Commercial Management or Contract Management within complex IT environments.
• Strong understanding of vendor governance and contract lifecycle management.
• Experience managing technology or digital transformation projects.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret complex commercial agreements and provide practical advice.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
