We are looking for a skilled Verification & Validation Engineer with 3+ years of experience in system-level verification, virtualization, and hypervisor technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Hypervisors, Virtualization, and Xen, with a passion for building reliable, high-performance computing platforms.

This role involves designing and executing comprehensive verification strategies, validating virtualization environments, identifying system-level issues, and ensuring that software and platform components meet functional, performance, reliability, and quality requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute verification and validation strategies for virtualization and hypervisor-based platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios based on system and product requirements.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, stress, and reliability testing.
  • Work extensively with Xen hypervisor and virtualization technologies.
  • Validate virtual machine lifecycle operations, resource allocation, isolation, scheduling, and system behavior.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Execute tests across Linux-based virtualization environments and analyze system-level behavior.
  • Investigate failures, reproduce defects, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams on resolutions.
  • Validate virtualization features involving CPU, memory, storage, networking, and device virtualization.
  • Conduct performance and scalability testing across virtualized environments.
  • Integrate automated validation into CI/CD and continuous testing workflows where applicable.
  • Maintain test environments and virtualization infrastructure required for verification activities.
  • Review technical specifications and identify potential verification gaps early in the development lifecycle.
  • Track defects, document test results, and provide clear quality and release-readiness reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve complex system-level issues.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, automation, validation processes, and engineering quality.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 3+ years of experience in Verification & Validation, System Testing, Software Testing, or a related engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Hypervisor and Virtualization technologies.
  • Practical experience working with Xen hypervisor is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of virtualization concepts including virtual machines, hypervisor architecture, resource management, isolation, and scheduling.
  • Strong Linux/Unix system administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell for test automation.
  • Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, networking, and storage concepts.
  • Experience with functional, integration, regression, performance, and stress testing.
  • Ability to analyze logs, debug failures, identify root causes, and work closely with development teams.
  • Experience building or maintaining automated test frameworks is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and automated testing practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment and take ownership of complex validation challenges.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, or system-level testing will be an added advantage.
