Vessels electrical superintendent, Office based (0240 Dec 2024)
Royal Ocean Marine is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Vessels Electrical Superintendent to join our clients team in an office-based position. The successful candidate will oversee the electrical operations of our vessel fleet, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry regulations. You will be responsible for technical oversight, maintenance management, and resource allocation for electrical systems across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the electrical integrity of vessels to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with vessel crews and engineering teams to develop and implement maintenance schedules.
- Monitor compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
- Review and approve technical documentation related to electrical systems.
- Conduct audits and inspections to assess electrical equipment performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Assist in the procurement and supply of electrical parts and equipment.
- Collaborate with various departments to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical systems management, preferably in a maritime context.
- In-depth knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, power generation, and marine electrical safety standards.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address electrical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with teams and stakeholders.
- Competence in using electrical diagnostic tools and software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undertake occasional travel to vessels for technical assessments or support.
