At Vets for Pets Gloucester Barnwood, we're looking for a passionate and motivated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly, locally owned practice, where exceptional patient care and team wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant on a full time position working Monday-Friday (between the hours 8am-7pm) with no weekends and closed on Bank Holidays.

*Whilst no weekends are required at present this may change in the future.

You'll be joining an experienced team of 4 vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, 4 CCA’s & practice manager.

You will be a dynamic and proactive person with solid all-round skills, working behind the scenes as part of our nursing team by supporting inpatient care, handling, restraint and maintaining clinical areas . Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the VCA role, delivering excellent patient and client care and working well within our team.

The Role

• 40 hours per week
• Currently working Monday – Friday
• No out-of-hours
• Salary – National Minimum Wage

You will:

• Be a proactive and supportive team player with excellent communication skills
• Be highly organised with a strong commitment to maintaining high clinical standards
• Enjoy guiding clients through every stage of their pet's journey with empathy and professionalism
• Thrive in a busy environment and approach each day with positivity, enthusiasm, and compassion
• Experience of working with animals in either a clinical or non-clinical setting would be advantageous
