Vice President - Commissioning & Operations

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vice President to oversee the commissioning and operations of our steel plant. This role is critical to the successful and sustainable operation of our plant, as it involves managing and optimizing production processes, ensuring safety standards are met, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the steel industry and a strong understanding of plant operations and commissioning.

• Lead and manage the commissioning process, ensuring timely and efficient plant startup.
• Oversee daily operations, monitor production processes, and ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
• Manage and mentor a team of operations and commissioning professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Analyze production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance productivity.
• Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
• Represent the company in external meetings and industry events, building relationships.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the steel industry, with a strong background in plant operations and commissioning.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent knowledge of steel production processes and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in project management and the ability to oversee complex projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to safety culture.
• Willingness to travel as required for plant operations and industry engagements.
