Vice President, Corporate & Channel Marketing
*This position is onsite at our New Rochelle, NY office.
Position Purpose
The VP Corporate & Channel Marketing will be a hands-on leader who unifies a mix of digital and offline channels to grow sales, leads, and brand visibility, including ecommerce, email, social media, print and digital advertising, PR, conference marketing, and catalogs. The VP additionally oversees marketing analytics and HubSpot administration and list segmentation, ensuring an actionable marketing database for targeted campaigns. This position collaborates closely with BEC’s product management and product marketing teams in creating coherent, multi-channel go-to-market and customer-lifecycle strategy and campaigns, and with field sales in developing rep-customized lead-gen initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop annual marketing plan and budget, aligning channel-level goals to company revenue, growth, and brand objectives and allocating spend based on performance and strategic priority
- Establish unified reporting cadence across all channels
- Translate business goals into a coherent, multi-channel, go-to-market and customer-lifecycle strategy
- Present marketing performance and recommendations to executive leadership
Channel Oversight
Direct strategy and hold teams accountable for performance across:
- Ecommerce — site merchandising, conversion optimization, and revenue performance, with ongoing evaluation of new technologies and add-on applications to optimize reach; establish analytics to understand inbound marketing and customer journeys, optimize eComm paths, and continually refine our process to convert customers.
- Email — campaign strategy, lifecycle/retention programs, and deliverability
- Social Media — organic and paid content strategy, community, and brand voice
- Advertising — both digital (newsletter banner, paid search, paid social) and print media planning/buying
- PR — media relations, press strategy (BEC web properties, Cision/PR Newswire)
- Conferences/Events — trade show presence, sponsorships, invitations
- Catalogs — print and digital catalog strategy production and circulation
- Ensure consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across every channel and touchpoint
- Identify cross-channel synergies (e.g., aligning catalog drops with email and paid social pushes)
Marketing Operations & Analytics
Oversee the marketing operations lead responsible for HubSpot administration, list segmentation, and lead lifecycle management
- Ensure marketing database is clean, well-segmented, and actionable for targeted campaigns
- Direct marketing analytics: define KPIs, build reporting dashboards, and ensure teams have the data needed to optimize spend and tactics
- Encourage a test-and-learn approach, using data to guide budget shifts and creative/channel decisions
Team Leadership
- Hire, mentor, and manage a team of channel leads and specialists; set goals and conduct performance reviews
- Foster collaboration across channels, ensuring efforts derive from common campaign calendar
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed
Job Requirements: Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple marketing channels
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Demonstrated experience managing both digital and offline/print marketing channels
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot or comparable marketing automation/CRM platform
- Strong grasp of marketing analytics, attribution, and use of data to drive budget and creative decisions
- Experience with ecommerce marketing and understanding of conversion/retention metrics
- Track record of managing significant marketing budget—building, reforecasting, reporting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Excellent communication, management, and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
Preferred:
- Background in education marketing, preferably focused on literacy and including core curriculum
- Experience managing catalog or direct-mail marketing programs
- Familiarity with PR strategy and media relations, in-house or via agency management
Salary Range: $175,000 - $250,000
*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
