Vice President - Equity Capital Markets (Business Development & Institutional Placement):

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Vice President - Equity Capital Markets (ECM) to drive business development, originate capital market mandates, and mobilise institutional investors for equity transactions. The role requires a strong network across corporate/promoter groups and institutional investors, along with a proven track record in IPOs, QIPs, OFS and other equity capital market transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Originate and secure IPO, QIP, OFS and other Equity Capital Market mandates from corporates and promoter groups.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, AIFs, PMS, Family Offices, HNIs and other institutional investors.

- Drive institutional investor participation and placement for IPO, QIP and OFS transactions.

- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective ECM mandates and business opportunities.

- Work closely with the ECM team throughout the transaction lifecycle, from mandate acquisition to successful closure.

- Provide market intelligence and investor feedback on valuation, demand assessment and transaction positioning.

- Leverage existing corporate, promoter and banking relationships to generate new business opportunities.

- Drive revenue generation and achieve business development and transaction-related targets.

Candidate Profile:

Education:

- CA / CS / LLB / MBA from reputed institutes preferred.

Experience & Skills:

- 12+ years of relevant experience in Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Institutional Equity Sales or Equity Distribution.

- Proven track record of handling and/or placing at least 10 IPO/QIP/OFS transactions.

- Experience across equity transactions with an aggregate value of 5,000 crore or more.

- Exposure to IPO transactions of 300 crore or above will be preferred.

- Strong and active network across institutional investors, corporates and promoter groups.

- Demonstrated ability to originate ECM mandates and mobilise institutional participation.

- Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.

- Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of achieving business and revenue targets.
