Vice President, Gas Portfolio And Master Planning
About the role
ADNOC is seeking a seasoned leader to drive the strategic direction and optimisation of its gas portfolio. The Vice President, Gas Portfolio & Master Planning will play a critical role in shaping long-term gas strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, market dynamics, and the UAE’s energy priorities.
This role will lead enterprise-wide master planning initiatives, enhance portfolio value, and ensure operational excellence, sustainability, and regulatory compliance across gas operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of ADNOC’s gas portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and long-term value creation
- Oversee integrated master planning, including resource allocation, infrastructure development, and optimisation of gas assets
- Provide strategic insights on market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform executive decision-making
- Drive the establishment of strategic partnerships to strengthen ADNOC’s position across the gas value chain
- Lead and align cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives
- Monitor portfolio performance and implement measures to maximise efficiency, reliability, and sustainability
- Champion risk management practices to proactively address sector challenges and uncertainties
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and governance standards
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement to enhance operational and commercial outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all gas portfolio and planning matters

Stakeholder engagement
Internal: Work closely with executive leadership, business units, and corporate functions to drive alignment and execution of integrated strategies.
External: Engage with regulators, partners, and industry stakeholders to support ADNOC’s strategic objectives and enhance its market position.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience within the energy sector, with strong exposure to gas portfolio management and strategic planning
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex initiatives within a dynamic environment
