About the role

ADNOC is seeking a seasoned leader to drive the strategic direction and optimisation of its gas portfolio. The Vice President, Gas Portfolio & Master Planning will play a critical role in shaping long-term gas strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, market dynamics, and the UAE’s energy priorities.

This role will lead enterprise-wide master planning initiatives, enhance portfolio value, and ensure operational excellence, sustainability, and regulatory compliance across gas operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of ADNOC’s gas portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and long-term value creation
  • Oversee integrated master planning, including resource allocation, infrastructure development, and optimisation of gas assets
  • Provide strategic insights on market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform executive decision-making
  • Drive the establishment of strategic partnerships to strengthen ADNOC’s position across the gas value chain
  • Lead and align cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives
  • Monitor portfolio performance and implement measures to maximise efficiency, reliability, and sustainability
  • Champion risk management practices to proactively address sector challenges and uncertainties
  • Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and governance standards
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement to enhance operational and commercial outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all gas portfolio and planning matters

Leadership accountabilities

  • Contribute to ADNOC’s overall strategy and transformation agenda
  • Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Strengthen collaboration across internal functions to ensure seamless execution of strategic plans
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Promote best practices and industry benchmarks to drive performance and operational excellence
  • Represent ADNOC at industry forums, reinforcing its leadership position in the global energy sector

Stakeholder engagement

Internal: Work closely with executive leadership, business units, and corporate functions to drive alignment and execution of integrated strategies.

External: Engage with regulators, partners, and industry stakeholders to support ADNOC’s strategic objectives and enhance its market position.

Qualifications & experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience within the energy sector, with strong exposure to gas portfolio management and strategic planning
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex initiatives within a dynamic environment

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Deep understanding of gas markets, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends
