Vice President of Business Development
Mon Ami is seeking an entrepreneurial VP of Business Development to lead the next era of growth and own high-stakes enterprise sales cycles. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives on the complexity of go-to-market strategy, large-scale public procurements, and long-term relationship building. You will provide strategic oversight to close deals with state-level government partners and establish new verticals, codifying a repeatable sales motion in existing markets while developing new playbooks for adjacent ones. You are a master of the long game, a mentor through complex negotiations, and a player-coach who gets involved when it matters.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead market strategy into existing and new verticals, iterating on go-to-market strategies based on real-time feedback and building a sustainable foundation for growth
- Manage and mentor a team of account executives, coaching them through complex deal structures and high-value contracts
- Own the end-to-end sales process for enterprise and government contracts, including long cycles and IT reviews
- Serve as the senior closer for high-value partnerships, navigating government legal reviews and procurement departments
- Drive proposal strategy and drafting for RFPs, leveraging strong writing and strategic instincts
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have 10+ years in sales with a proven track record scaling SaaS organizations from $10M to $100M ARR, ideally in GovTech, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, are resilient, action-oriented, and comfortable making decisions in ambiguous market conditions
- Are a player-coach, capable of running technical demos and closing deals, while setting a high bar for your team
- Have technical fluency to understand complex products and map customer pain points to solutions alongside internal teams
- Communicate clearly and persuasively, maintaining a steady presence in high-stakes negotiations
