Description

Opportunity Overview (VP Finance / CFO):

Poke House is an entrepreneurial, high-growth restaurant company. Originally based in the San Jose, CA, area, the company is beginning to accelerate a national expansion strategy including both company-owned and franchised locations.

This hire will be a key member of the leadership team and the senior most finance professional in the organization (whether title is VP Finance or CFO, will depend on experience level). We are looking for a candidate who brings high integrity and great energy – who is comfortable operating lean today but also who can build a sturdy foundation of systems and people that will enable the business to scale quickly.

The ideal candidate will bring a “whatever it takes” attitude to the business and is able to wear “several hats” – equally comfortable with making journal entries as with preparing a 5 year strategic plan. The candidate must be rock solid in core finance and accounting functional areas such as clean and error free financial reporting, liquidity and budgeting, treasury, and strategic planning, and will serve as a value-added partner to diverse constituencies in the business including the CEO, the board, the growth team focused on new unit openings, and operators of our restaurants in the field. This candidate will have had hands-on experience implementing and integrating new financial reporting and IT systems to a growing business, along with “war stories” and key learnings to leverage from those experiences.

As a company that is focused on deploying capital to grow company-owned locations as well as scaling franchised locations, the ideal candidate will have experience with both business models and will be able to provide KPIs and business intelligence to support the scaling of both endeavors.

Prior experience with a private equity backed company is a plus. For qualified and experienced candidates, compensation may include an equity component
