Vice President - Projects - Construction/Engineering

Objective:

You shall lead and manage the strategic planning, execution, and successful completion of all projects. This role aims to ensure the efficient allocation of resources, adherence to project timelines and budgets, and the delivery of high-quality outcomes that align with the company's competitive advantage and customer expectations. Additionally, this position will be responsible for optimizing project plans, mitigating risks, resolving conflicts, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic:

- Develop and manage a comprehensive portfolio of projects, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.

- Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing insights and recommendations based on project analysis and trends.

- Collaborate with senior management to identify potential growth areas and contribute to the formulation of business expansion strategies.

People:

- Lead, coach, and mentor project managers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.

- Facilitate transparent and effective communication across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management.

- Address complex team dynamics and conflicts, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Operational:

- Optimize resource allocation, including human, financial, and material resources, to ensure project success.

- Develop and implement robust risk management strategies, identifying potential risks and proactively addressing challenges.

- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed established standards.

Process:

- Define and implement project governance frameworks, ensuring standardized processes and adherence to best practices.

- Drive process improvement initiatives, streamlining workflows, and enhancing project management methodologies.

- Oversee contract negotiations, vendor selection, and contract performance to ensure optimal project outcomes.

- Ensure accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and project status updates.

- Implement quality control measures, audits, and inspections to maintain high-quality project deliverables.

- Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and regulations throughout project execution to mitigate risks and protect the well-being of personnel and the environment.

- Prepare timely and accurate progress reports, highlighting project status, milestones, and potential issues for stakeholders.
