Vice President – Real Assets, Fund Accounting
A leading global provider of fund administration and asset servicing solutions is looking for an experienced Vice President to lead its Real Assets Fund Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting, financial reporting, capital activity, and partner allocations.
- Review financial statements, working papers, fees, and fund-related calculations.
- Lead client relationships, meetings, and accounting-related inquiries.
- Manage external audits and ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support clients on fund-related matters.
- Oversee new fund implementations, transitions, and service planning.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while monitoring performance and service quality.
- Manage resources, budgets, and operational targets.
- Identify process improvements and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Work closely with senior management, clients, and property management partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification required.
- 8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, asset management, or fund administration.
- 6+ years of people management/supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with real estate and private equity fund accounting.
- Knowledge of fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt instruments.
- Strong financial statement and general ledger review experience.
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, Investran, or similar fund accounting systems is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
