Vice President Senior Backend Developer - Lending/Commercial

Design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable backend systems that power web and mobile applications. Build and maintain APIs and databases, ensure reliability, security, and performance, architect server-side solutions for high transaction volumes, implement code quality and testing best practices, collaborate across engineering and product teams, and recommend improvements involving backend development, blockchain, and fintech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases.
• Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions for high transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with front-end, product, and DevOps teams to integrate and deliver features.
• Implement code quality, testing, deployment, code review, and automated testing practices.
• Optimize system reliability, security, and performance.
• Stay current with backend, blockchain, and fintech technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of back-end development experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Hands-on experience with Node, Express, TypeScript, and Nest.js or similar frameworks.
• Strong SQL experience and exposure to NoSQL.
• Experience with microservices and event-based architecture.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, caching, messaging queues, and Kafka.
• Experience using Postman and Git or Bitbucket.
