Video and Photographer

Job Summary:

The Video & Photographer (Production Team) is responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering all photography and video content for PBIS — serving the full CMC function including Corporate & Communications, Marketing & Recruitment, and Experiential Events.

The postholder executes the full production cycle: pre-production planning, shoot execution, post-production editing, and final delivery. Every image or video produced represents the school to the world and must reflect PBIS's professional standards and values against objective and timeline.

  1. Pre-Production Planning
    • Review shoot briefs thoroughly before every assignment — understanding the purpose, required shots, equipment, consent status, and delivery deadline.
    • Coordinate logistics before every shoot: confirming venue access, equipment availability, and consent records.
    • Develop creative concepts and storylines for video and photo projects aligned with the school's brand and messaging.
    • Never arrive at a shoot unprepared.
  1. Photography and Video Shoot Execution
    • Capture events, classroom life, campus environments, student activities, Open Days, and community moments with a storytelling eye.
    • Operate camera equipment confidently in all conditions: bright outdoor events, indoor classrooms, and fast-moving activities.
    • Arrange objects, scenes, lighting, and backgrounds to align with brief specifications.
    • Make subjects — students, staff, and families — feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera.
    • Serve all CMC functions: Corporate & Communications, Marketing & Recruitment, and Experiential Events.
  1. Post-Production Editing and Delivery
  • Select, edit, and deliver photography to a professional standard — consistent colour grading and on-brand presentation.
  • Edit video content for social media and digital channels: well-paced, on-brand, and formatted correctly for each platform.
  • Deliver all assets on the agreed schedule.
  • Use software including Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and equivalent applications.
  1. Asset Management and Safeguarding
    • Label, organise, and archive all files after every shoot within 48 hours — without needing to be reminded.
    • Maintain a well-organised digital media library for easy retrieval by the full CMC team.
    • Adhere strictly to PBIS child protection and consent policies — obtain and verify permissions before every shoot involving students.
    • Do not photograph or film any student without verified consent on file.
