Video Editor — Intern

Summary

Video Editor Intern at Growpose transforms supplied materials into polished short-form and hero video outputs using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, maintaining consistent pacing, accurate formatting, and strict brand adherence while working remotely.

We’re looking for an editor who can reliably transform supplied materials into polished short-form and hero video outputs. In this role, our goal is to keep production moving week after week while maintaining consistent pacing, accurate formatting, and strict brand adherence.
  • Edit short-form vertical video in 9:16 and landing-page hero video in 16:9 from supplied scripts, VO, and asset folders
  • Build Ken Burns–style motion sequences from stills (pans, zooms, cross-dissolves) timed to narration
  • Cut talking-head footage with strong pacing: remove filler words, tighten structure, and place B-roll appropriately
  • Design and place text overlays, ensuring readability and correct timing
  • Add captions and burn-in subtitles to spec, matching supplied caption files
  • Apply the Growpose brand system consistently (navy/yellow palette, typography treatment, lower thirds, and end cards)
  • Deliver clean project files and final exports in agreed formats, meeting schedule and version requirements
We need someone who enjoys production work and takes pride in speed and consistency—not just one-off creativity. If you’re comfortable working from scripts and shot plans with locked specs, we’ll move quickly together.
  • 3+ years editing short-form social video, with a reel/portfolio that shows strong results in platforms like Reels/Shorts/LinkedIn-style content
  • Strong command of Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (After Effects is a plus)
  • A genuine feel for pacing on short-form video—knowing where a cut should land to keep viewers watching past the first few seconds
  • Comfort creating motion from stills (not only trimming footage)
  • High attention to technical specs: frame rates, aspect ratios, safe zones, and file naming conventions
  • Clear written English and dependable asynchronous communication across time zones
  • Ability to follow brand and style guidelines precisely while maintaining creative polish
We value reliability, clarity, and ownership. We want someone who can ask smart questions early, stay organized with media/assets, and deliver on schedule without last-minute surprises.
We publish on a reliable weekly cadence and provide scripts, shot plans, VO, organized asset folders, and locked brand specifications. You’ll be editing with clear requirements (including caption files and format expectations) so your time goes into craft and consistent delivery. We also work asynchronously across time zones with a focus on clear, dependable communication.
If you’re comfortable moving fast while staying precise with specs and pacing, we’d love to review your reel/portfolio.
