Video Editor
Xanadu Studio is looking for skilled video editors who want to work at the intersection of storytelling and AI-driven production. This role combines strong editorial fundamentals with hands-on experience integrating AI-generated content into the post-production pipeline. Ideal for editors ready to evolve their craft into workflows where generative assets, rapid iteration, and traditional editing skills come together.
Key Responsibilities
Editorial & Creative
Assemble and edit footage (live-action and/or AI-generated) into polished, story-driven cuts
Collaborate with directors and creative teams to shape pacing, tone, and narrative flow
Make editorial decisions around continuity, rhythm, and visual storytelling
Work closely with creative and production teams across the full project lifecycle
AI Integration & Execution
Incorporate AI-generated images, video, and audio into edits alongside traditional footage
Maintain visual and tonal consistency when blending generated and live-action assets
Collaborate with AI generation teams to source, select, and refine assets for the edit
Perform color correction, sound design, and basic VFX/compositing as needed
Upscale, clean up, and finish generated assets for final delivery
Workflow & Collaboration
Organize and manage media, project files, and version control across the pipeline
Translate creative briefs into efficient, structured editing workflows
Stay current with emerging AI and editing tools, integrating them into the process
Contribute to internal systems, templates, and best practices for the edit pipeline
Requirements
Proven experience as a video editor (agency, studio, freelance, or similar)
Proficiency in industry-standard editing software
Strong understanding of pacing, continuity, story structure, and visual grammar
Ability to work with mixed-source footage, including AI-generated content
Fast learner with high adaptability to new tools and workflows
Strong attention to detail, especially around visual/audio consistency and output quality
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)
Experience with After Effects or other compositing tools
Familiarity with AI generation tools
Sound design or color grading experience
Experience editing ads, short films, or digital content
Understanding of prompt-driven or generative production workflows
