Video Editor

We're looking for a Video Editor who understands one thing really well: attention. Someone who can take a raw idea, footage or brief and turn it into content people actually want to watch fast. You'll work across Reels, Shorts and long-form videos, owning the editing process from raw footage to the final cut.

Responsibilities:

• Edit high-quality Reels, Shorts and long-form videos.
• Turn raw footage and ideas into polished, engaging content.
• Build strong hooks within the first few seconds.
• Use pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions, sound and visual elements to maximise retention.
• Understand when to make a fast cut and when to let the story breathe.
• Work independently and take projects from brief to final output.
• Build templates, workflows and systems that make our editing engine faster.
• Experiment with new editing styles, formats and trends.
• Iterate quickly based on content performance and feedback.

Requirements:

• You have 1+ year of hands-on video editing experience and a portfolio that demonstrates what you can do.
• Understand Reels, YouTube Shorts and long-form YouTube content.
• Have a strong sense of pacing, hooks, storytelling and retention.
• Can execute quickly without compromising quality.
• Understand what makes content feel native to each platform.
• Are comfortable working independently with minimal hand-holding.
• Take ownership of deadlines and final output.
• Constantly look for ways to make the editing process better and faster.
• Follow creators, content trends and evolving editing styles.
• Tools: You should be comfortable with one or more of: Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or similar tools.
