Video Editor
This is a remote position.
Competencies & Skills required
3+ years of experience editing video content for a variety of platforms -- web, organic social, YouTube, etc.
Strong understanding of best practices for video content across the full range of media and platforms, and a portfolio of personal work to support it
Basic understanding of performance marketing and how various creative approaches and execution play a role
Ability to iterate quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with special emphasis in Premiere and After Effects (some graphic design experience is a plus)
Able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
Job Responsibilities
Create best-in-class video content to support digital marketing and content objectives
Participate in all stages of video production, from conception through execution and post-production; lending expertise around what types of videos are best suited for different contexts and audiences
Capture interviews of mentors, students and recruiters, and short form video content, as well as basic photo needs, both in online and offline environment
Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from key cross-functional teammates
Process, organize, and maintain video file organization
Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Content teams on key launches and campaigns
Support Pragmatic Leaders editorial and social calendar by ensuring consistency across video executions, and a steady stream of compelling video content
Obsess over optimizing content for best performance on social platforms -Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Twitter Fleet, Instagram, Instagram Story, IGTV & Reels
Create and sustain a culture of creative excellence for the team and company
Stay up to date on editing software, programs and technologies and take the lead on system upgrades, implementation and management as needed
